Get To Know Nancy Enke
My first experience with a yoga class was through an adult education class at the local community college. It began as a curiosity and soon became a passion. After several years of practice, I decided I would like to bring yoga to the lives of others.
I made the commitment, did the work and became a certified instructor in 2004. I have taught in various fitness facilities for many years. My experiences as a yoga teacher has been rewarding in ways I would not have imagined.
As wonderful as yoga is, I believe it is important to include other forms of fitness into daily life. I took on the challenge and became certified as a Group Fitness Instructor in 2009, followed by a Personal Trainer Certification in 2011. I followed that with a LIVESTRONG Instructor Certification in March of 2011, working with cancer survivors. My next adventure was obtaining my Nia white Belt Certification in 2012. And last but not least an intensive but fun training with Unnata in 2015, certifying me to teach Aerial Yoga.
Life is full of blessings and mine is no exception. I am married to a kind and loving man and together we raised four amazing children. Our children have in turn blessed us with twelve grandchildren.
When I am not teaching or volunteering, I spend time with family. I also enjoy reading, sewing and organizing. No matter what I am doing, I try to keep myself in the moment.
I believe the most successful people in life understand and practice the art of balance in mind, body and spirit. I hope that I have and will continue to guide others on that journey.
